Why Donate?

SuPDF is a small utility that creates a one page PDF document for a Sudoku puzzle. The values for the Sudoku puzzle are entered as a text string, and SuPDF will format the result, adding pencil marks or printing the solution, depending on the user's preference.

SuPDF doesn't actually generate puzzles, but it will check them for correctness, i.e., make sure there is a single unique solution. It also can create a variety of output grids, and each PDF file can contain one or two of the following:

Mini-FAQ

Q: How do I print out the PDF files once I create them?
A:

Adobe's Reader™ software will open and print the PDF files; it is a free download from the Adobe web site.

Q: I tried to paste a multi-line Sudoku puzzle, but only the last line appeared. What happened?
A:

Use the “Paste Text” button on the toolbar to paste a multi-line or formatted Sudoku puzzle from the clipboard. This will ‘clean up’ the text and remove any unnecessary characters.

Q: Can you add a (insert wish here) feature to SuPDF?
A:

Possibly…send me your suggestion and I'll think about it.

Q: I found a bug…can you fix it?
A:

Yes, but only if you can describe the problem well enough for me to reproduce it. At the very least, I'll need to know the puzzle, and while you don't need to go into great detail about your computer, knowing which version of Windows you're using would help.

Q: Is SuPDF really free?
A:

Yup. If you like it, send me a note telling me what you like about it. If you really find it useful, make a donation using the PayPal button to the left.

Q: Can I have a copy of the source code?
A: No. SuPDF may be free, but it is closed source.
